{"text":"Why are truck drivers the most disrespected by truck stops, brokers, and shippers, when neither would have a business without the goods truck drivers deliver? Estimated 76% of goods sold in America is delivered by truck drivers. Shippers and brokers low ball us on rates in certain regions because they know drivers need return loads, Maine, Vermont, and that region, etc. Not only do we get low balled while keeping them in business, but we also pay the highest on the things we deliver. None of these businesses/people spend weeks away from their family to get the job done. Almost everything at truck stops are inflated prices because they know we need to park, reset, shower, etc. Some truck stops are making you take a ticket in order to enter, which kidnap you from going to spend money elsewhere. What other industry pays a company's workers to do their job and unload their freight??? and we here worried about who can drive better, who can back better, who make more money. wtf. Some talk about the foreign drivers. At least the immigrants that's talked about stuck together and created jobs for themselves, what is we doing but paying more money on things we're paid to deliver? I'm not taking shots at anyone particular, but this is disgusting. If every driver in this country stops driving for two weeks to a month, all of these mofos that disrespect us go out of business, potentially 76% of the businesses in this country. We are charged for parking because they know there is a demand by truck drivers to park, but what about their demand for everything they sell that truck drivers make possible? I'm deadass ready to fold my MC and start a truck stop.\nThis needs to be a post. Quite sure by tomorrow I'll be flagged at every dot inspection, but I don't give a care...my clock and my mc is 1,000,000% clean.","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false} |
