{"text":"I haven't been on here or anywhere for awhile but wanted to ask this and hopefully help others. I recently rented a trailer in which the agreement is signed as a lease, guess no other rental forms. I was told the trailer was ready anf waiting for me. When I got there we had to look for it and of course it wasn't ready. There was debri that needed cleaned out, lights weren't working, had a couple tires that needed replaced, and needed a paper plate cause they said they were waitingfor the plate. 4 hrs later I was on my way. Well, I am renting it weekly due to only needing it for a special contract and told them 2 weeks before the paper plate expired to send the permanent cause I was going to need it longer. It ended up taking several more calls before I finally, nearly 2 weeks after the paper plate expired, I got the permanent. Oh but wait, it gets better. The guy who deals with the plates is who I finally talked to to get it straightened out and was told it was supposed have a permanent plate already on it. I was never told that. I just found out the other day when I went to put the new plate registration in the holder on the trailer that the inspection is over due and the last one wasn't even filled out correctly. I informed them and said that I have a mechanic coming to look at it cause I believe there are some brake issues, which they said was fine, and that I am not able to use it due to the inspection. He asked if I could bring it to them, mind you they are several states away and it has mechanical issues and invalid inspection, and I said no. Once the mechanic looks at it and they decide what to do I'll be able to use it again. My big question now is am I entitled to any compensation due to there negligence of proper maintenance and not getting me the plate to keep running without a hiccup? The agreement is signed as a lease which states I would be liable for main, but with it being a weekly rental I would assume it's still on them. I am going to talk with my attorney tomorrow, but thought I'd post it here. I will add what my attorney says later.","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false} |
