{"replyTo":"","text":"Don't worry about cranking chains to tight. Been driving for 40 years and never had a chain break because of over tightening. Just educate yourself to what size chains you have and what their working load limit is. And whether you secure your load with chains or straps, stop every few hours and do a safety check. Check your load, check to see that your chains or straps are still tight. I've been accused of over securing but, I have never lost a load.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"melnic3 is right. I've never had a chain fail. Regular binder and a 3 foot pipe. That load and trailer should become 1 piece. Keep your chains as short as possible.","replyToPid":0}
