{"replyTo":"","text":"Stay away from lease purchase, something like 95% of the drivers never complete their contract and go broke. Get all your endorsements, doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat. I would suggest a TWIC card as well. Get all those and you will be more desirable and command more money from companies with some experience under your belt \n\nIf you are ok with the money your are making at your current company, stick it out for a year.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"It doesn't matter who you are driving for to get experience.  \n\nI wouldn't start a lease purchase until fuel prices are down,  and freight rates are better.  \n\nTo maximize profits,  when you do go out alone,  no matter the company,  just do what you do.... drive,  learn,  keep asking questions,  take the good with the bad,  consider the source always,  buy groceries,    self care is a must.  Don't get violations and the money will come.  The first year,  even the second,  you will not get rich.  \nBut you will start becoming an asset and with experience,  you will get better money,  opportunities,  but you need to be patient.  Be open but not gullible.  \nThis is just my experience and opinion,  for what ever it's worth.  \nGood luck.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"try to sign on with a company out of Laredo, Texas. Most of them will have you run long hauls from the border to the MI/OH/IN regions and back. Solid 3000ish mile runs every week means a steady paycheck. If you leave anywhere close to the route you take you can stop for your 34 break at home.","replyToPid":0}
