{"text":"So a week ago I was headed back home while driving through the 40 wb in AZ I hit a pothole and heard thump, didn’t think much of it cause the road is so bad there and it’s happened before, anyways once in California at a scale they did an inspection on the truck and mount for my break chamber had broken off and was dangling. (Totally my bad for not checking) the fire extinguisher in the truck had been discharged before and they got me for that too but they were kind enough to let me go home and have the company fix the truck before I could take off again. So I told my boss and he said no problem he’ll get it fixed, point is I didn’t work for a little over a week while they “fixed the truck” (I didn’t mind I wanted to spend some time with my family so I thought it worked out perfectly) wasn’t till Friday he said I’m gonna drive another truck for the next trip because they were still working on it (at this point I’m a little concerned because they said the truck had to be fixed within a certain date or I would get points on my license) but I said okay. I ask him where the truck his so I can pick up my things ( my gps clothes, chargers, etc is in my old truck) he then tells me another driver was driving it, tells me to meet up with him and switch trucks, he tells me the truck was fixed and already faxed the documents from the truck being fixed back to the scale where they did the inspection. We switched trucks and I see the new fire extinguisher and I check the break chamber and it’s dangling off still broken. I ask him if he really sent the paper work and that I’m concerned because I don’t want to get any points on my license and he said he sent it and that the mechanic inspected the truck and said it was okay. To top it off the trailer I picked up is over weight by 2000lb it’s 81900. He’s giving me routes to avoid scales. This isn’t the first time stuff like this has happened. He’s a nice guy but now I feel like im putting my record in danger for this guy. I’m currently sitting here debating weather I should just leave the truck and head back home. In your last statement you said that your debating on leaving the truck, if it's at the terminal I'd find something else just don't abandon the truck.
