{"replyTo":"","text":"Right now it is an inflated market due to high demand of used trucks since the new trucks are slow at turning out. Personally, I do not think that waiting a year or two will make anything better as U.S. politicians pretty much killed the U.S. now. (Rome Re-Visited) I’m sure that importing one of your European trucks that you like would be even more of an expense. So you are looking at a price tag of $70,000 for a used Class 8 CMV *stock* with $400,000 mi. as a medium-range to gauge. You’ll need a good down payment of $10,000 and another $25,000 for insurances, and depending on which state you file you will need appx., another 10,000 for IRP / IFTA, Tax ID, Fictitious Business Name, LLC., First-month fuel & DEF, DAT board, Factoring service, Authority, MC, KYU, (Skip Oregon) 1 time Trailer plates & registration, Truck registration, and whatever is left yoh will need it for repairs. These highways are tearing up trucks daily.\n\nMy advice, for now, run as 1099. Stay away from ‘rip-off’ lease programs, and save money so that O/O has more start-up capital and chance for success. Any O/O who has been established has already gotten through the rough financial push, you will not have it that easy especially the way things are now. Just my opinion, Look at buying in Lakeland, FL at “American Fleet Exchange .com” He is very very good! (also my boss 😎👍)","replyToPid":0} |
