","text":"It actually does mess with the collision tech. You won’t receive collision warnings on your dash as the camera cannot see how close you are from the vehicle in front of you. Also, the “adaptive” cruise control cannot work for the same reason that the camera doesn’t know your following distance anymore. You can still use your cruise control, but it will just be a regular old fashion cruise control. I know this because while I was driving in the rain, I eventually got this message on my dash that the camera view was being blocked. It cleared in like 3 minutes.\n\nPersonally I love the “adaptive” cruise control. It’s less work for me. I barely need to touch the brake pedal because the truck will brake (via jake brakes) to maintain a proper following distance. All I need to do is monitor the whole thing. Before, you would need to cancel the cruise control, turn on the jake brakes, etc. Now it’s done automatically.\n\nThe lane departure tech, on the other hand, is a pain inthebutt. I like driving close to the right line, and the tech doesn’t like it. It wants me dead center, but I don’t trust these half-asleep drivers swerving around as they pass me. Hahaha."}

On the list there are two more fuses connected with lane departure F63 and F64 but strange is they are missing and i still hear the noise from system. I'll check is there a wire maybe somewhere.

","text":"Check the wire diagram again. I too thought the fuse was missing, but I was looking at it wrong. In my truck the word “lane departure” was used in the description. Triple check that you are really looking at the correct fuse pocket. \n\nIf you cannot find it, you’re going to have to open up the passenger speaker and remove/disconnect a wire. "}

{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"I just got mine done about a week ago. There should be a fuse for the “lane departure” in the fuse box in front of the passenger seat. There should be a list describing what each fuse is for. In my case, there was also a wire in that very fuse. I thought it was strange. Maybe that helps you locate the fuse.\n\nNow, this method will only stop the sound the speaker makes when you touch a line in your lane. It won’t do anything to the following distance tech. "}

{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"by blocking the camera on the top of the windshield does not effect the adaptive cruise control, that works off the small plastic box in the center of the front bumper...\non our newer trucks they changed the camera or sensor so you can not slide anything in to block it...\nthe cruise control will work fine..."}
