Government isn't supposed to be profitable. Government charges the minimal to recover cost of service. Governments job is to regulate businesses. Don't hold your breath.\n\nAlso, the postal service has always been run by the government. The reason it's going bankrupt is because the head postmaster isn't able to change the way the business operates without congressional legislation. And congress has made it mandatory for the Postal service to pay for retirement pensions in advance. |
