Generally, though, the smaller companies are the least strict, while mega companies will micro manage drivers.\n\nIf you really hate companies, then start your own company and work for yourself. Unfortunately starting a company takes a lot of work and determination, but at least you’ll probably make much more than the average truck driver.\n\nI was a contractor for 4 years at a mega company. They treated me like a company driver, but with a few privileges. I will never return to working under any company even if I could make more money with them. My freedom and not having to worry about getting fired is way more important."}
