{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"You can find o/o companies offering what you want, but their loads probably won’t pay as much. For example, company ABC gives you 80%, but they’re a small company, so some of their loads are coming from the spot market, which generally do not pay more than contract loads. Big companies do not get their loads from the spot market. Their loads are pretty much all contract loads, the contract being between the big company and the shipper/manufacturer. In contrast, loads through the spot market have a middle man, aka the brokerage company who will take a piece of the pie. The point is that getting an 80% from a small company might just be a 60% from a big company. With big companies you also get good discounts on fuel, tires, etc. that small companies generally cannot match.\n\nIf you want to get in with a small company, might as well get your own authority so you get 100% of the pay. You can pay for certain services, so they can help you file your quarterly IFTA report, do the invoicing, and even dispatch you if you want. These services are usually offered by “factoring companies,” but there are a lot of horror stories on the internet. If you have a wife, just have her deal with all that stuff. "} |
