{"text":"Evening all.\n\nI'm in the market for a Western Star 4900SB for highway flatbedding up to tandem max load, doing math on fuel efficiency. Does anyone drive this truck and are able to give practical fuel efficiency numbers? As well I'd like some practical numbers on the DD13 and DD15 in different configs. Please post spec and average load. \n\nI know the 5700 is better on fuel. I like the design of the 4900 too much to not at least do the math to see if its viable, even if it's not optimal. The time where you can even own your own truck is coming to an end and if I'll only ever own one truck damnit its going to be one I like. \n\nThank you! Have a safe trip!
