Safest Route Abingdon Virginia to Columbus OH

{"text":"Hello we are driving a ten speed manual with an almost 80,000 lbs load and we almost didn’t make it this morning coming from Ohio down 77 into Tennessee through those mountains and now we have to go back up to Columbus from Virginia, does anyone know a safer route? ","text":"Thank you! I am just now seeing this but that’s the exact route we took this morning lol we thought that looked like the flattest way. I wouldn’t mind doing that mountain route if the construction wasn’t so bad, the super narrow roads, & with a littttleee less than 80,000 lbs is preferable. Like... 30,000 less ha! ","text":"I mean... I feel you and all it’s just that some areas just aren’t safe period. Like where we had 80,000 pounds and we’re going down a super steep grade and it turns into a one lane with concrete bumpers on the side and it’s like a roller coaster in a 10 speed that has a hard time shifting on inclines. ","text":"Also, thank you for actually answering my question. It’s better to hear from someone with ACTUAL experience on the road than just following navigation apps & maps. Nothing compares to real life experience. But like I said thank you for ACTUALLY answering. Some of the people here act like middle schoolers with their weird comments & attitudes.
