{"replyTo":"","text":"Companies are allowed to rent truck to anyone who holds a car drivers license. Then they kill a bunch of people every year because they have zero training. Then it gets reported on Nhtsa.com as a truck driver fatality. Then our elected officials see that trucks are killing people at an excessive rate and place all kinds of rules and regulations that don’t apply to the people causing the most damage. Over the road long distance trucks with sleepers cause less than 3 percent of the fatalities in America annually yet we are the recipient of massive regulation and scrutiny. The other 97 percent are mostly at fault but have no consequence. They won’t spend any money on training uhaul drivers and probably never will. Not even a 2 page pamphlet but they can driver around a 25 thousand pound chunk of steel. Sounds about right when you’re talking about the government ","replyToPid":0} |
