{"replyTo":"","text":"ok...let's see. I put myself in a higher tax bracket which in turn raises my tax owed, which in turn falls back on my statement, I pay more than I should. Which on paper, I've paid exactly what I owed. It's quite impossible for myself or anyone to know what others pay in taxes, everyone's different....to an extent. \n\nNot using that $20,000 for myself, basically does nothing for me (except for happier employees) that 20k does not offset anything, it was never a planned expense, it wasn't expected earned income. It does not need to be claimed anywhere on the next fiscal years taxes. It's like I never had it. So....how do I profit from it? Unless you're meaning I can profit from being proud...proud that I'm able to give a little extra to a few hardworking people. Then yes, I've profited. \n\nAs far as not having friends; One employee I hired 3 years ago came to me after being fired from a Trucking company ( a horrible one ) He saw a couple trucks in my yard and stopped in. I was in the road, told him I'd be back in a few days. I got home, I called him, he came in. He was fired for having gone to the hospital with his pregnant wife when he was supposed to be getting ready to head out. His wife, 7 mos pregnant was having complications. He begged the company to let him stay home. He asked me if I could try to keep him close to home but keep him out for at least a month. I told him to come back in a couple of days, as I was doing maintenance on the truck he'd be in. he came back, I sent him on a load, pinconning, mi to jeffersonville, In. On his way down to Indiana, he got a call, wife going back to the ER. I quick, caught up to him, took his load to Indiana and he took my pickup. On my way home, he greatly thanked me but was afraid he was fired. Told him to just take care of his wife. After delivering the load, I called a very good FRIEND of mine that's in logistics. Asked her about a contract she handles. Michigan to Ontario Canada 5/6 days a week. She got me in. While my worrisome brand new driver was in the hospital with his now premature delivering wife, I stopped in, gave him a check for $10,000 and had all hospital bills billed to me. Told him to come back to work when he was ready, to make sure his wife and brand new son were doing well. After 3 weeks he came back expecting to do OTR. He broke down in tears when I told him he'd be home every night with his family. That was 3 years ago. Just this last year I paid off his hospital bills....they got extensive due to her complicated pregnancy. And just this last year he bought his first home. The 10 grand given to him, yep, I claimed that as charity, why? because it's legal. Did I profit, not exactly, it just helped me out a little on my taxes. Did I gain an awesome employee and friend, you betcha. That's just the kind of guy I am, if I have it and you need it....you got it. You cross me...you get a big 🖕\n\nSo don't tell me that I don't know how money works...lmfao.","replyToPid":0} |
