{"replyTo":"","text":"Guy with a 2 way radio flooded a repeater and caused intentional interference, FCC slapped him with 18K fine. He broadcasted higher than 10 watts PEP on 12 meter, the FCC whacked him with interference. You screw with an ARES or maritime repeater/frequency, your goose is cooked\n\nCould definitely fry up some bacon!","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"in other words...you are not going to find how to tune a c.b. in that book. You can still find a few shops here and there with honest to goodness guys that can tune a c.b. like no one's business. But, now a days, no one worth a salt is on the c.b. to need to carry the ability to broadcast far enough to hold an actual conversation beyond a quarter mile...tuning used to be an art and equipment worth tuning to it's highest potential was an art. Not anymore","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"Already tried to let you know, Ham band and c.b. are not the same...with the right setup Ham can broadcast around the world, and can definitely broadcast over c.b. and many other band widths. However. Unless under emergency broadcast you'd be violating FCC rules. Them there is federal charges. Ham operators take their stuff very seriously. Hence the need for a license to operate","replyToPid":0}
