Also not being able to find a charging station isn’t a permanent issue. That will disappear after mass uptake (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/plugshare/id421788217). The Tesla semi already runs batteries and car parts from Sparks NV to the Bay and Hawthorne CA. They do just fine going up and over the Rockies fully loaded even in the winter, and even better on mileage than originally stated at unveiling. With an EV you don’t have to run an engine to power accessories like the HVAC and entertainment. The Tesla semi can run an AC unit or it’s heater from the gigantic batteries meaning you’ll get through a closed road just fine. Also you charge everyday so you’ll have plenty of charge. If you’re a smart driver you already plan ahead and know about the weather ahead. If you know a hurricane is coming through down south you’re gonna top off your tanks before getting close right? It’s going to do just fine. Tesla is making patents on new battery chemistry’s. So are other manufacturers. John Goodenough has a new glass battery he’s working on which has more energy density than ones today so the packs will have more power in the same space.
