{"text":"What is with the obsession with American males and some females watching sports on TV, namely football and basketball. I’ve tried to see what the deal is. But I just don’t get it. The announcers never shut up long enough for you to enjoy the sounds of the game and see for yourself what’s going on, and all the annoying ads that are intertwined are even more annoying. “It’s a people! And they got the ball!” Oh, they dropped it...wait, nope, ah, yep, no, yes, no, oooooohhhh...yep that was a fumble!” Who freaking cares? Just show the guy throwing the ball and shut up about it already, jeez. It’s fascinating how something like a bunch of meatheads giving each other concussions is interesting. And basketball games. If not for the announcers, then all you’d hear is terrible rap and squeaky sneakers. I understand fandom or getting excited over your home team, I enjoy hanging out downtown when the Preds play at our rink and all us locals dress up in jerseys and yell “wooooo!!!” at each other, but watching some team play some other team you’re not affiliated with to me is just ssooooooo boring. Uuuugh. What am I not understanding about this cultural phenomenon? ","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":false,"externalShare":false} |
