{"replyTo":"","text":"Self driving trucks changing the \"driver shortage\" to a \"driver surplus\", yet the self driving trucks are not a catch-all panacea, as I have been to locations and routes that have not and still do not exist on any map/GPS.  More suited to common routes (DC to DC for internal exchanges where they can be recharged at a yard), self driving electric will be decent with its downfall being battery.  Perhaps a dedicated roadway designed to eliminate the battery and just 3rd rail power a truck, with the added benefit of no weigh stations, due to a road deck designed for much greater weights.  Effectively reinventing a railroad track. 🤨","replyToPid":0}

I was a trainer and it has been my experience that  many people do not have the abstract cognitive ability required to perform efficiently and safely. The regulation should be focused on brokers  planners, and facilities. How many times have you been to a facility designed for straight trucks or the neighborhood is not compatible for 18-wheelers?","replyToPid":0}
