{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"With a shop doing it, yes, $1200 makes sense because it looks like there is actual damage, not just paint scuffs.  The shop will either replace the piece completely or repair and paint the entire thing to look brand new.\n\nBut, if you ever get a scratch on your own vehicle that is your own fault, just stop at a walmart and buy some paint from the auto department.  they have small tubes for touching up scratches and dings."}
