{"replyTo":"","text":"We call them stink bugs in Tennessee because if they feel threatened, they will release a weird smelling chemical.  Kinda like a skunk. \n\nOther than that, they are quite harmless. I’ve had issues with them crawling around in the cab in the fall too. I reckon they seek out warm places to hide when the ambient temperature drops. \n\n","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"i think these get on your shoes and clothes from grass, trees anywhere and then crawl off in your truck. i have had a few try and hitch a ride. thank God i cant stand the sound of a crunching bug..didnt know what they were..catch and release for those guys","replyToPid":0}

{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"They are brown marmorated stink bugs.  You'll risk dealing with them any time you are in the east.  They came to the US in 1998, believed to have hitched a ride in some machinery from China, and were first found in Allentown PA.  When disturbed they release a bad smelling stink, best thing to do to avoid the stink is to gently coax them onto your hand or something to carry them like paper or a cup and toss them outside.  Or if you want to feel like you are helping the environment, kill them.  They have no natural predators in the US.\n\nThey will seak shelter in fall to hibernate for the winter and if this shelter is houses or vehicles they will emerge when sensing warmth to fly around and annoy you.  A real pain living in PA and removing them from your house almost daily through all of winter."}
