","text":"get like a wilson antenna it will help out. where your radio isn't built up just a smaller one is all you would need. I run just the 1 antenna it seems to work for me and has for yrs with all the different radios I've had. {"replyTo":"","text":"one will ALWAY work better than two . more does not mean better . if you want two because it look good . than do it but only hook up one. think of it like a garden hose .  if you take 1 hose and split it off into 2 hoses  you will lose pressure at the end of both hoses.  the best out put and receive is with 1 antenna.  and set your SWR's if you don't do this or have it done you out put and receive  will be in the dirt.  having the SWR's set is not expensive  it is about 30 bucks at a cb radio shop and about 30min tops.","replyToPid":0}

This will damage your radio. If powering BOTH antennas, you must use co-phased RG-59 CB coax cable.\n\nMinimum distance apart is 5 feet. \n\nI'm old school. Cold War vet, comms guy.
