{"replyTo":" 280160 发表于 2019-10-21 12:54:27 maybe. depends on where you are going.\n\nLast winter I had to go from Nevada to Portland and i80 was closed. Took 25 north out of Cheyenne to Casper and got on 26. Took 26 across Oklahoma into Idaho to 15 to 86 to 84.\n\nNice drive, goes through some of the national forests/parks of western Wyoming. Still gotta be careful though due to the snow and grades. Also have a bunch of small towns near the western side so watch for snow mobiles and skiers while going over the mountains. I did see a few of them. ","text":"well yesterday I80 was closed from Laramie to Sinclair. I was going west so I took detour right on highway 30 going northwest. I reached Medicine Bow and there was a big hill on and I was fully loaded with tiles. I went up the hill and my truck gave up about 100 yards from the top. it wouldn't go further , drive axle wheels start spinning , lost all the traction . what my dumb ass didn't do was to keep my right side wheel on the shoulder to keep traction . so i had to pull the parking brakes right in the middle of the road got out and put the tire chains on all 4 drive axle , locked the differential and then slowly backed downhill on to the shoulder . got a real good grip , then put the my gear in\" L\" and pulled up the hill. while I was doing all that state trooper was sitting on top of the hill watching me do this . he came up to me and yelled what the f***k you doing out here on country road. he was like once you get up to the hill pull to the side and come out with your DL . But he was nice enough to let me go since he saw I have suffered enough in that freezing cold snow to get up the hill . 🤣🤣 man what an experience ! \nI will remember this day till I die .","replyToPid":232349} |
