","text":"Sorry that I didn’t get back to you earlier. I think that it’s definitely too much to ask for more pay and more hours. Shippers, receivers, and trucking companies love to extend our day because it’s not them on the road and away from their families. I’m all for working and earning our pay but right now we’re worked and not paid what we earned.","replyToPid":230767}
747109 发表于 2019-10-18 22:15:06 not to mention the way drivers are treated by shipper and receiver, even the gate guard shows an attitude to the driver like you are some low life ! \nyou point is the very important man ! I go through this everyday. we team drive and will arrive at consignee after 3000 miles and consignee wouldn't even acknowledge anything . he will just throw us on side and tell us wait till we call you . next thing you know it's been 5 hours and you ate your 14 hour clock . so now your 34 hour reset is coming closer before you can even do some more loads .
","text":"Excellent point! We are a bunch of nobodies to everyone. When you factor the time we spend on the road and what we make then even the gate guard is above us in the pay scale.","replyToPid":230831}
738757 发表于 2019-10-19 01:28:44 I think this is a good idea! local drivers should definitely be paid by the hour, however I think that might be a little more complicated for otr drivers. For otr in my view if you are in your truck and not at home then your at work, weather your sleeping or driving. I would suggest a daily rate drivers are paid for every day they are away from home like $75 or $100 a day.
