","text":"That’s exactly it! We are seeing units going for .18-.30/mile. We are a 5 car so that would put us at 1.50/mile. We have to dead head quite a bit too- always good money going one way and garbage coming back— the brokers know how to screw us- but I will sit or dead head because I’m stubborn and wont let them run our industry to the ground ","replyToPid":207533}

","text":"That’s exactly it. They come in and right back out. Raised our insurance rates from 400- 7 years ago to 2k a month now. They have now set the bar for these garbage rates. \nI refuse to do this crap and we wait it out as well...we are patient and just stopped hauling for the low ballers and the units just sit for weeks and months! ","text":"The problem are the units won’t sit for very long because what’s going to happen is a soon as it goes up just a tiny bit somebody jumps on it and takes it so you don’t show the brokers that the people that have been in this business for a long time or in it to stay in it and the guys that just come in to get the quickfix end up going bankrupt or close their business after 2 to 3 years because I don’t know how to manage money for their business","replyToPid":207707}

We are in it for the long haul and I will not give up. \n\nThere is zero loyalty and they are all money hungry. \n\nI’m just hoping the costs keep going up, the rates go down and everyone goes bankrupt and we hold on for dear life and nobody moves anything then the rates go up and we win!
