{"replyTo":"","text":"theres always gonna be a cheap oversize company that will absorb the loss of a shitty contract for a few years until they can make it profitable, or just pay their drivers less to make up the difference. \n\nthe only thing that's going to change the detention trend is the fmcsa regulating the shippers and consignees so that they cant over book their docks or book at max capacity as soon as their gates open, or hold a driver too long for late delivery once their fee has been paid.\n\n sat for 3 hours at a pepsico because I had an appointment at 10am and so did 15 other drivers because they want their docks full as soon as their gates open so they arent losing man hours even though they arent willing to process drivers early so they can be docked already when their workers come on shift. \n\nI got four hours detention pay, which was okay with me, but I lost 4 hours of my day and still had other shit to do, which was not okay. managed to get 25 miles down the highway that day. absolute bullshit.\n\nonce they start getting fines for shit like that, they'll change their game.","replyToPid":0} |
