{"replyTo":"","text":"It’s hard save money when you don’t make enough to save. I know you leased a truck before but you got to find the right company to lease from. And when you do lease don’t lease nothing brand new. They are charging you for a brand truck plus interest to do so. I talked to drivers in the shop. The big mistake is paying to much for a truck to being with. You pretty much give yourself more debt to begin win. There are good leasing programs you just have to make sure your fixed cost don’t rape you from getting to the profit side of the house. It cost money to make money. Even when your truck is paid off you still have fix cost. Having your own truck is not always easy but the money is out here. It’s important to have a repair shop that will fix your truck and not jack you over. You think you’d be able to trust the dealership mechanics but they will try to get over too. Knowledge is power. Run conversation with the mechanics when they fix your truck. You’ll learn somethings that will save you money. On top of that find a company that you can change trailer operations. Don’t just get stuck in the dry van market or any market that may be bad. You have to be able to change with the game. And prevent your truck from breakdowns much as possible. It can cost you more just from the down time from being able to get loads. Sometimes you will have to change out stuff just cuz it’s been awhile rather than wait for it to break. If you can get a truck from the stealership do it. You’ll bypass a leasing contract that may have extra interest. But if you don’t have it or can’t get a loan from the bank. Leasing is the way to go. Also find a company you can turn in your paperwork to for tax purposes. The most important advice is try to minimize your fixed cost as much as possible. No one at the bottom start off everything brand new. You got to work with what you got til you can afford to move up. You’ll see guys running down the road with old trucks. That should tell you enough about the game. It’s about paying everything off and owing nothing. Design your business the way it got to be ran and make improvements. Run til you can put $5k-$10k on a secured business card to build business credit early in the game. That’s important. You can use that card for maintenance or fuel and pay it back rather than pull cash from your pocket.","replyToPid":0}
