{"text":"I can handle my own, but I’m beginning to get really alarmed by the amount of “troubled” people on the road, as travelers or workers. It seems the oft romanticized “nomad life” is full of people who have been kicked out of normal society and aren’t doing this by choice. And not loveable misfits or those who just hit some bad luck. Some seem to have dangerous mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Of course I knew this going in, but the proportion seems to be higher than anticipated and the true risk level alarming enough for me to start radically altering plans and limiting myself for the sake of safety and/or preventing a confrontation (even if you “win,” it’s still traumatic). Any thoughts on this? Also I am female, so I’d appreciate responses from other females or men who can appreciate and understand a specifically female perspective on this matter, in addition to the ones we all share. Thanks!","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true} |
