{"text":"i know i fucked up. just wondering if someone has ever got a ticket of this nature and how $$$ is gonna cost?\n\nthe situation::\nwe are team drivers. I've been on sleeper since Saturday 2 pm. Monday morning my co driver did all de deliveries and a single pick up. he signed all the bills but trailer axle was overweight and couldn't be ajusted ( cali regulations). so he went back to the (watermelon) plant. i got off the cab just to strech .the plant fixed the issue( took couple of pallets off the load) but the guy handed me one bill and i signed it.  then my co driver drove for 45 min more and then i started my shift.\n\nso DOT fucked me up (or i fucked myself up) because one of the bill (out of 3 bills) was signed by my person 45 min before i logged myself on duty. so the officer said i falsified the log. whoala\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true}

{"replyTo":"","text":"Well it might not turn out as bad as you think, The fines are Frickin ridiculous I'm from Cali, But a few years back I was on paper logs and ran a weigh station in Reno, NV the cop did his job and went through my logs in detail he did the math and was not lazy like a lot of cops got me for falsifying my logs and not stopping at a weigh station, The Total amount of the Ticket was $234.00 I just paid the fine and I don't run weight stations anymore so it was a $234.00 lesson, So it might not turn out as bad as you think, Also if you do decide to go to court, Because it is usually cheaper but not always, I would say I got off to use the restroom, The shipper stopped you on the way to the restroom briefly and asked for your signature, Because I believe you have to log anything over 5 min. but a signature takes a couple seconds. But like I said that was on paper logs, It may be different. Let us know how it turns out.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"damn....... not cool........ mine was $750.00 a couple of years ago. not california. $350.00 in another state somewhere up. north...... $400.00 somewhere in the north as well.... the price has always been all over the map, and so has the out of service time punishment 10- hour break ..... 72 hour break out of service......... ohhhhhhh yeah, once in nebraska too that was a ten hour break, very low fine $200.00........ damn.......... yours seems like a rude cop out for blood........ ive had a punk like that go through my entire whole truck opening up searching for every receipt and piece of paper!!! never even knew if that one was legal!!!!! he came by right at the 10 hour break time limit on his personal motorcycle to make sure i was still out of service , i left at 10 hours 30 second mark..... Then they came to you and you sign the BOL they usually go the the driver! Where was your Co-Driver that he could not sign the Bill's? Your story sounds like BS... It's sounds like you wanted to start 45 min early you told your Co-Driver he only had 45 min. You would drive on his Log for 45 min. then log on when his time was up, He went into the sleeper, You were in the driver's seat signed the Bill's, And just didn't think you would get caught... These DOT Cops do their jobs every day, Some better than others but nevertheless I have came across some that know what they are doing.. So your story is BS and the cop spotted it.. {"replyTo":"","text":"I was stopped at Truckee while running off PC, ticketed and fined just over $600 dollars, upon court date for ticket I found load through there and appeared in court. Didn't say a word, the court Commissioner called my case and then asked how I plead, I stated not guilty, he then stated he would reschedule the new date so officer could appear or if I change my plea to no contest he drop it to operating without 24 hr log on hand which is no points no dings in DOT system and only $125 fine. yep, I plead no contest paid 125 and walked out.
