{"text":"A major national trucking industry organization has thrown its support behind a Senate bill that would require speed limiters on most heavy trucks.\n\nWednesday, July 10, the Truckload Carriers Association announced its support of S. 2033, The Cullum Owings Large Truck Safe Operating Speed Act of 2019. The bill requires new trucks weighing over 26,000 pounds to be equipped with speed limiters set at a maximum speed of 65 mph.
