I never trust any shipper's scale, Also if your dispatcher tells you to get an empty scale ticket before you get to the shipper, Fill your fuel tanks, Then scale it. Most times it's Because the shipper is going to load you to the max weight.","replyToPid":0}

","text":"You’re exactly right. I’ve looked it up after my dad told me that. You’re allowed more than 12 on the steers. It’s the 80 total. But you can have more  on your steers than 12"}

I’m also sorry to say that almost all of the replies you have received are WRONG!!!  The front section of the Rand McNally Motor Carrier Atlas has all of the information you need. I have made a YouTube video on this but the new generation is so uneducated and unwilling to learn that my attempts have gone unnoticed. Ie: Florida allows 44,000 on a tandem. SC allows 35,500 on a tandem. Come on people, get with the program and be professional!!  Would you really take a ticket from DOT without actually knowing the regulations!!!","replyToPid":0}
