665190 发表于 2025-05-28 21:57:01 NYC bridge heights are garbage. A posted NYC bridge height of 12'9\" should be easily accommodated5 a 13'6\" truck.\n\nI think the preferred route in/out, Throggs Neck, posted bridge heights at least that low.
","text":"many many years ago. I had customer in Bronx. I seen sign 12 ft 9 ahead. I darted off on next exit. boy that was mistake. I like to never navigate city streets. I told customer about that. He told me. that number is for winter when snow packed on road. I don't know if true. I ripped anything in NE out of my map","replyToPid":484884}

{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"@mikey I hadn't heard the snow pack idea but it had to be as much garbage as the \"they measure height from the axle\" story I heard. The posted heights are are often several FEET shorter than what they should be. Snow doesn't get that deep in NYC. The idea of measurements from axle height makes even less sense."}
{"replyTo":"","text":"If you live and drive a truck in NYC you should know the bridge heights in NYC are garbage. Stick to known routes like Throggs Neck to get in/out of that festering garbage heap of City.","replyToPid":0}
