{"replyTo":"","text":"Kidde has lithium battery ones, lasts a number of years, not sure how well in a truck.   I have used  MSA Altair single gas detector, these are more industrial, small, can clip on your belt, expensive but battery lasts a long time as well.","replyToPid":0}

Your engine will be louder while running, or if you open the hood you can clearly see the ash or soot around the hoses. \n\nAnyhow, I am not a mechanic and I would never compromise my safety. I have a working CO and smoke alarm in my cab all the time. I bought it from Lowes and both cost round $60.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I was about to say, whole reading the first sentence in your post, just get a detector if you’re concerned about the potential chance of carbon monoxide getting inside. It getting close to winter and all, and with temps floating around 40-58 in the evenings, just turn your truck off, and use bunk heater. That’s not actually a fix, if you do have a leak. \n\nIf you have a leak, you should NOT be driving your truck, that’s very dangerous even while driving. If there are any odd odors coming off into your cab, get it inspected asap.","replyToPid":0}
