He can't see  a parked truck?  I see many trucks parked on side of road or on get on ramps. When you do this. {"replyTo":"","text":"I never pull onto the side of a roadway unless I have to. if I'm gonna park anywhere near an active road it will be an ONRAMP where at least civilians aren't going at full speed if they miraculously manage to hit you. and that's almost a last resort. I can't stand parking at the big corporate truck stops but there are a million mom and pop biz out there you just have to look and they don't fill up by 1500. I agree with dude that proper trip planning could've avoided this situation. Id also add never underestimate the recklessness and/or straight state of oblivion that is a common trait among most automobile operators. if they can find a way to die they will. avoid them at all costs.","replyToPid":0}

I almost always find a good spot. you just have to trip plan. knowing how to use split sleeper when loads take a long time will help you not panic park.","replyToPid":0}

I see so many driver pull over to do 30 minute break on side of freeway and some pull out from dead stop. I have had that happen many times. More truckers will be charged even more often."}
