Always an unexpected event that will slow you down….long lines at shippers, accidents on roads with delays, rain, snow, slippery roads, dense fog….finding free parking when your time is low is a big pain…pulling over on ramps to pee cause you can no longer hold it - make sure you bring a 101.4 fl oz water jug to pee in, then dump it on grass after you pee! Making sure you go into right entrance at stores and other places is a pain…if you take the wrong entrance it can be a mess! Dispatchers who don’t know what they’re doing is a pain! Drivers who change their speeds all the time is a pain! Lots of times you attempt to pass a vehicle then all of a sudden they speed it up so you can’t pass them! And you can’t cause you’re governed at a certain speed! Drivers who take too long at the fuel lines is a pain! Drivers who throw trash on ground is a pain! Truck breakdowns are a pain! You may end up in a hotel room for at least a week with little pay! Can you handle this? Cause everything I mentioned is going to happen! With that said this career can be very rewarding! You see different places and different people in all parts of the country! It’s like getting a college education! Good luck! ","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"It can be easy to burn yourself out. It’s important know yourself and know how long you can stay out without it effecting your mental health. Even if you are talking to cashiers, clerks, and other drivers it can be extremely lonely. Make sure you buy a headset to call your friends and family. Something I did was buy stuffed animal to sit in the passenger seat. It almost makes it feel like someone is there with you and helps a lot, plus kids that pass by like it.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"Be prepared to be away from, home, family, friends and if you are up north like me sometimes civilization.  I am used to it but something to think about when starting out.  Don't ever plan anything other than your day and even that gets tossed out the window.  A new life style is what you are going to get.  Can be very rewarding but takes time and lots of learning.\n\nThis career found me.
