140 gallons to fill up from Empty?

Will my truck use it past empty? that's a lot of unused fuel. \n\nI'm also curious if more women run out of fuel than men. in my company I have seen 2 women emergency fueling on the side of the road and just them. I ran above the fuel efficiency requirements to make my recommended stop. the last place I topped off was a terminal and I think I wasn't topped off. it was a one sided fill. {"replyTo":"","text":"I reset my odometer trip meter leg whenever I topoff both fuel tanks. On a 2020 freightliner its on the dash, left most side of 6 icons. Move the left arrow button on leftside of steering wheel to the Home icon. Press the down arrow twice to Leg. Hold the OK button to Reset the info to 0.00mi and 0.0mpg.  I do it to both my pickup and car at home too. Ive never trusted a fuel guage since I ran out of fuel once.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"Some of that might be the truck manufacturer trying to compensate for the goofy way a truck's diesel tanks fill. \n\nThe tanks are essentially a barrel laying on its side.  If the tank were standing upright it would be easy to read how much fuel is in it.  ¾ height would be ¾ fuel. Laying on its side, fuel up to ¾ths the height of the tank is MORE than ¾ths full.  It's something like ⅞ths full when the tank is filled to ¾ of its height. \n\nBy the same token when the tank is only full to ¼th its height its got LESS than a quarter tank left.\n\nThe only time the height accurately measures the volume on a truck's tank is when it's completely full, completely empty and exactly half full."}
