{"text":"Currently have been dealing with a driver for well over 50 miles that does not want me to pass him. He can clearly go over 70mph while I’m stuck at 65mph. He cruises at 62-63mph and as soon as I go to pass he speeds up, gets about a quarter mile in front of me, resumes going 62-63, then when I’m on him again and try to pass he speeds up again. ","text":"Well, I can say you hit it on the nail of who I drive for. I was in a tough spot financially and needed something quick. Didn’t know anything about the slander that swift gets. I just needed money. Can’t say you hit it on the nail for the rest of your comment. I’ve been driving heavy machinery and pulling goosenecks since I was knee high thanks to my gpa (may he Rest In Peace). The company I drive for has nothing to do with my skill. I will say there are swift drivers that don’t need to be behind the wheel of a semi just like every starter company. You have to start from somewhere though. You’re not going to find one small fleet owner that pays decent that’ll hire someone with no experience unless they know the person. Even then they have to worry about insurance cost. \nI appreciate your input though fellow trucker. I hope you have a great rest of your day and be safe. ","text":"That’s good advice. Had I had the extra time I would. I’m barely going to make it home with drive time. I just had to keep rolling and deal with it. Tried not to let it bother me too much. This post was more so for awareness of governed trucks. There are so many negatives that come with being governed. This is just one of them. Going back to the coal mines to work on draglines for a bit then find a small fleet to come back to.","replyToPid":444241}

I know I know how to drive. I just want to drive in peace and make it home to the people I love. You can’t base someone’s ability to drive by the company they drive for. That’s extremely biased for no reason. But, oh well. Whatever helps y’all sleep better at night. Whoever is comfortable going 62-63 then do that. Don’t hold someone else up because you’re bored or have this prejudice outlook on a driver that drives for a certain company. Y’all who aren’t governed or governed 70+ can cover a lot more ground than us in a week. Meaning y’all get paid more because of that. ","text":"Yea I have a cousin who went from being governed at 68 with Werner(or however you spell it) to 65 with swift. I warned him that 3mph makes a difference. He said it didn’t matter at first. Now that he’s dealing with it he sees where I’m coming from.","replyToPid":444242}
