{"text":"He pulled a flatbed with his Pete and mostly hauled lumber. He was out on unemployment for a bad back from helping a rookie tarp his load. I remember him telling me that his unemployment was so bad that he was having pb&j’s everyday and waiting for Albertsons chicken to go on sale. Said nobody ever calls him to check on him and was happy that I called to talk about trucking/dispatching, the whole works. He ended up dying of a sudden heart attack less than 2 weeks after I called him.. only 63 years old. And he was all alone.\n\nDrivers have a very lonely lifestyle, wish he was still here so we can talk about trucking, he was always very blunt with me, told me what to do, what not to do. Missing that guidance. I appreciate and see all of the hard work everybody does on the road, I like that this forum connects everybody. Nice to get help when you really need it, and chat with like minded people. Never know when something bad will happen, love y’all, stay safe. And I know, this post is ooey gooey (just how I like my brownies😁)","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false} |
