That’s something that never happened to me when I was leased on to a mega trucking company. My solutions were these:\n\n**Keep your truck sleeper curtains fully open, so they can see inside the sleeper.\n**Put some “safety” stickers on your truck and trailer, such as “safety first” or “truck makes wide turns” or “headlights on for safety,” etc. I know it suucks, but you want to give the impression that you are a safe and legal driver/company!\n**Add your e-log provider’s decal on both sides of the truck. If you threw yours away, call your e-log provider to get 4 decals. Two of them will be extras.\n**Keep your truck clean. You don’t have to wash your truck weekly, but you do want to wash it regularly. \n**Add some extra stickers on your truck to make your truck look more “legit.” For example, throw in the American flag on both sides of the truck.\n**Leave your old IFTA stickers on your truck. Again, all of these stickers will make your truck look more legit as opposed to barely having anything on your truck.\n**If you have a company logo, make sure it’s on your truck and trailer. This one I haven’t done myself, but I might get there some day.\n**If your truck looks very old, the paint is falling off, your hood is a different color from the rest of your truck, etc. you may want to consider getting a paint job on your truck. This goes with your appearance. If your truck looks run down, they might assume that something isn’t right, and they might stop you to take a closer look. "} |
