For a long time I had this goal to retire in my 30s, but recently after listening to a few people who have achieved early retirement, I am beginning to think that early retirement or the general idea of retirement is pointless, dangerous for one’s mind, and even boring. I can elaborate more on that, but my point is that if I no longer plan on retiring early or retiring at all, then what’s the point in working hard to make a killing? My goal should be to live more in the “present” and less in the “future.” If I will need to work all my life (because life without work is meaningless), then I should seek out things/jobs that I really enjoy doing. So all in all, I want a reasonably good paying job (about 80k) where I am actually happy and not working the graveyard shift, irregular hours, or working 65+ hrs a week!"}

","text":"If you want to retire the right way you need to keep the business going, that means either use your authority to start a trucking business or start something completely different from this industry. But early retirement is honestly pointless. Especially at 30. You have to keep yourself busy.","replyToPid":427746}
