{"text":"So I have a 29 Cobra Classic, once I got put in a new truck I hear constant loud static when the RF gain is to the max. Is there anyway to make it so I don't get that static anymore when I put the gain all the way up? New antennas perhaps? I'm in a Volvo VNL760. I know the box deal inside the mirrors isn't the best but I can't really mess with the wiring since I'm only a company driver. {"replyTo":"","text":"Normally you want your RF at somewhere around the twelve to two o’clock position unless you are in the middle of a conversation and you’re trying to pull a guy in that’s getting out of range. Mic gain from the one to three. As for antenna, make sure your swr is as low as possible. Fine tune the antenna length by switching between channels 1 and 40. When swr reads the same on both, your whip is calibrated. ","replyToPid":0}
