{"replyTo":"","text":"why you wasting your money ? dd 13 and dd15 motors have a built in by pass system in lubrication department. Thats why the recomendation for oil changes are at 50k miles. so let me qualify my statement....\ni am driving a 2014 cascadia. with a dd13, over 799,000 miles I use delo 400 xlt oil, semi synthetic, i get oil analysis every 50k when oil is changed.....no issues,  no burning of oil, and oil base is still in recomended acceptable range.... so again why waste your money ?","replyToPid":0}

{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"I change the oil, all the filters, and grease my truck around 15 - 20k miles.  I do the maintenance myself.  Yes you can take it longer if you want to but thats just what I do.  I personally think 30k is way too long, especially if you idle your engine at night.  The more you idle the sooner you need to change it.  If you don't have an apu and idle every night, it could easily cut your interval by half.  Idling is no bueno for your oil..it breaks down the oil and doesn't lubricate properly. Buy your oil at Walmart by far the cheapest."}
