{"text":"I just got my McNally road atlas. I believe its very useful. But do any of you seasoned vets use any turn by turn directions? I'm not talking about to a receiver (I know shipper and receiver should be able to give specific directions for trucks). I'm talking about for finding somewhere to park in cities where side of the road is not safe.","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}
{"replyTo":"","text":"Always try and plan your route each day before starting! Big cities in my opinion are often difficult to find parking in! I usually try and stay 20-50 miles outside big cities at truck stops or rest areas before heading in! I know that's not always an option, but if you can plan your day by starting outside the big city and ending well outside the big city you delivered to! Just a thought","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"getting the app park my rig helps a lot - haven't found anything better. know before you go is always the best rule. if your picking up late in the morning or early afternoon, once loaded plan on parking at shifts end as soon as your loaded. let's say you have 7 hours left and it's 130 pm, you will be shutting down around 900 to 930pm approx 400 miles away. look for parking 400 miles away and work your way back until you find something.","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"This app can be useful for finding parking spots but also keeping your eyes peeled can be a big help. Always be looking for spots that may not be needed today but might come in handy in the future and take a note. There are a surprisingly large number of customers that allow overnight parking that don't actually check if you're going to them and if you keep track of them that can really help you out in a pinch. \nReally it's just about trying to have as much info as possible to work with. Keeping it all in your head comes with time but I like keeping it saved in Google maps so I can just stop and look at what's on my flight path that may not be on this app.","replyToPid":0}
