{"text":"Question for experienced Truckers: What’s the appropriate speed for driving through high winds. I’ve had truckers say slow down, and others say drive the speed limit. What say you my fellow road warriors??","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}
{"replyTo":"","text":"I’d say drive whatever speed you feel safe at. You really don’t need to slow down unless you feel or see your trailer leaning. I’ve never had one go over on me but I did have an empty spread axle bullrack come off the ground when turning a corner on a gravel road in Iowa years ago. Luckily once I made the turn my tires came back to the ground.","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"I have yet to slow down in high winds. I have had to pull off and wait with others though. Heard over the radio just a few minutes after that several tipped on the road. Those were straight winds though.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"wind and speed and weight and tandem set are all variables to consider but also consider comfort and skill. if you're gripping the steering wheel like you're falling off a cliff slow down or stop. no point in driving around like a stressed maniac. average life span is 62 years old. don't make it a lower number. even temper your heart.","replyToPid":0}
