If the broker didn’t know the weight then I’d consider not working with them in the future. That’s a big big mistake to miss the basic load information and match it to equipment that cannot legally carry it. The broker who booked the load wasn’t watching. In the future ask a lot of questions when you are getting dispatched. People will try to get you to do stuff for free or carry extra weight. Don’t feel like you have to. Make sure the weight is correct and the dimensions. Does it need to be covered? Is it perishable in any way? All the times and places should be on the rate confirmation and make sure you get a copy emailed to you for every load. Good luck, maybe you give the broker another shot.
