looking to become owner operator but not sure where to start

{"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"do you have friends? family? children? are you okay never seeing them again? how ever much money you have saved up. double that. stay a company driver you will make more money. like previously stated, get more experience. other wise there goes all your money,credit and possibly career. youre jumping to early. save a few more years of money for fuel,taxes,parts, hotels for when you're broken down. and take the time to learn how to work on. your company truck for practice. the most important thing with being an owner op is money money money. be prepared to make none for the first few years and be prepared to spend all of your money and time that you have now. when you can pay for your rig cash, then reconsider being an owner op. it is not as \"cool\" as you think. you will do better right where you're at now. \nin my opinion"}

You will run under their authorities, They will provide you insurance, plates, IFTA, Fuel cards and everything. \n5. They will deduct insurance, your fuel, quarterly IFTA payments from your pay."}

Its the same type of people who believed you had to go work OTR right after getting your license before a local company will hire you. I don't know how you can't make money driving on your own in this business. Just like any other business, you have to be smart and you HAVE to treat it like such. If you treat it like a job, you will fail miserably. There is no such thing as 9-5 doing O/O. But you can definitely look into hauling local or OTR doing it. We make $250k a year with 1 truck. After everything is paid for, taxes ect. you could still easily pocket $80-100k/year if you are smart about it.","replyToPid":0}
