{"text":"I'm at half tank with a front heavy loaded trailer. my steers are 11680, drives are 34380, and tandems are 32820. My tandem are already max forward. \n\nIf I move my 5th wheel 1 notch forward I will be overweight on my steers and not be able to fuel. Is 380 lbs going to get me a ticket????","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}
{"replyTo":"","text":"actually if u r half tank, and alrdy 380 over, by time u fuel up u gonna be 35k+ so i would suggest better safe than sorry, get it reloaded properly mate.... tkt will only be urs...","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"just a thought but what would the weight transfer be sliding the 5th wheel back 1 or 2 notches....would that shift any weight to the the trailer and off the drives? might be something to explore","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"Personal I wouldn’t worry about it but who says you can only go 12000 on the steers. The steers is determined on your tire size most can go up to 13000 moving the Fifth wheel a notch will give you insurance. ","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"I’ve been doing this 12 years, never scaled a load, I can tell if I’m over by looking at my suspension gauge, if you’re over, go around the scale. ","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"no, as overall u r under 80k... however, if the dot/mot guy had a fight wid da wife or no action in a yr he might take it out on ya 😉","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"you can be ok up to 12500 on steers.\nif under 80k. so just move 5th wheel one notch.also just run half fuel. no big deal I do it alot with heavy produce loads.","replyToPid":0}
834825 发表于 2020-03-08 02:26:20 I was in almost exactly the same situation a couple of weeks ago... So I slid my fifth wheel one peg... so instead of being three or four hundred over on my drives I was like 150 over on my steers....... I went over to \"weigh in motion\" scales and didn't get pulled into the scale house...
","text":"The next time I scale, I need to see how much moving my 5th wheel changes in a notch rather than assuming 500 lbs","replyToPid":340660}
