{"text":"For a while now, I have been concerned about how much time I spend sitting. Most of the day is spent sitting in the driver's seat of the truck. Not just driving, but I found myself spending the end of the day still sitting in that same seat once I opened up the laptop. Obviously, sitting is horrible for circulation, something we know much more about now than we did a few years ago. \n\nThis week, I finally did something about it. Something very simple, and it didn't require me buying anything additional for the truck. \n\nA few months ago, I bought a small wooden foldout table (basically a tv tray). It is sitting on one side of the sleeper, I have been using it when preparing food. After talking with the wife about this last week, we ended up gutting the many things out of the truck that I did not need, and ultimately pulling down the upper bunk. Now, I do all of my computer work in the sleeper, but standing while I do it. I'm actually making a habit of standing as much as possible when inside the truck and not driving. \n\nAnyhow, the printer/scanner is now sitting on the top bunk. Works perfect in a T660 because the bunk comes down so low that the printer is right there at eye level. \n\nI placed my plastic file box (cheap one you can carry around, bought at WalMart) on top of the table, and place the laptop on top if it. \n\nThis is my first week working like this inside the truck, but I am quickly finding myself actually doing more of the simple things such as posting on the forum, rather than just reading the posts. In the short term, there seems to be a significant productivity increase. \n\nI'm stretching more, because standing like this makes me realize just how out of shape I am at the core. That's right, I'm so out of shape that standing seems to have become a task, LOL\n\nI'm not getting the knee pain that I typically get after a day in the truck due to constantly being in a seated position. \n\nJust wanted to pass this on, as I know I'm not the only spending too much time sitting inside of a truck.","pics":"[]","canComment":true}
