After a year or so finance your own tractor and look for a good contract. You can usually do well in trucking if you work hard. I think forming an llc and being taxed as an s Corp is beneficial these days, ask your accountant. Have fun and be safe and you’ll succeed ","replyToPid":0}

","text":"You’ll be fine especially if you like to drive. I started about 30 years ago and all I knew was that I like to drive and I’ve been driving ever since. If you’re financially secure it makes it much easier out here. You’ll be fine because it sounds like you know your numbers. The net is the only number that matters by the way. If you can net average over 800 a week your first year you’re doing average probably. Look at local companies in your area but let everyone’s recruiter that you’ve spoken to, know if you’re not interested. Good relationships go a long way in this business.
