{"text":"do companies employ vehicles to follow trucks to assess performance? when I first started with my company a year ago I was visiting family in North Carolina and was headed home before training. While I was in North Carolina i saw a van following behind a Prime truck and he was driving with his pinkies trying to record the truck. the truck wasn't doing anything wrong that I could see. locked, running at company speed, wasn't swerving. nothing. seemed stable. so I emailed my recruiter and asked if they employ chase cars to monitor the driving of trucks. he said no. last night I was just over the west Virginia state line and a guy came on the interstate at company speed. I have an older company vehicle. it has radar I can see. he came on at 58 mph and maintained. it was a long grade. I engine brake way early because I could see what he was up to. so he sped to my max speed of 62. i maintained my brake speed since it was something of a sweet spot and it didnt hurt my feelings to see him go away.
