{"replyTo":"","text":"Self driving trucks changing the \"driver shortage\" to a \"driver surplus\", yet the self driving trucks are not a catch-all panacea, as I have been to locations and routes that have not and still do not exist on any map/GPS. More suited to common routes (DC to DC for internal exchanges where they can be recharged at a yard), self driving electric will be decent with its downfall being battery. Perhaps a dedicated roadway designed to eliminate the battery and just 3rd rail power a truck, with the added benefit of no weigh stations, due to a road deck designed for much greater weights. Effectively reinventing a railroad track. 🤨","replyToPid":0} |
